Well I Called That

Just a few days ago I mentioned that Allen Iverson was retiring for the first time. Well, I was right that it wouldn’t be his last. Granted, I can’t feel too impressed with myself because I’m sure everyone saw it coming. But yes, A.I. is back. And he’s back with the Philadelphia Sixers no less! Kudos to the LA Times story I saw that confirmed his comeback for including the “practice” video at the end of their article. I had never seen that before. It’s so entertaining that I have to include it. The only difference is this version counts how many times he uses the word “practice”. (more…)

Cyber Monday?

Americans have a new reason to ramp up their massive consumerism! Cyber Monday has arrived! Ok, so the term has existed for a few years now, but I’m hearing it for the first time. Unless of course, your name is Kevin Durant.

Chalmers and Arthur missing out on needed education

How exactly is tossing Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur from the NBA’s rookie transition program supposed to help anything?

The former Jayhawks were discovered with marijuana and women in their hotel room and promptly kicked out of the program. Orientation week is all about how to handle the sudden fame and fortune these guys have found. They learn what’s expected from them off the court, and they learn how to succeed. Clearly, Chalmers and Arthur are just the kind of guys that need the indoctrination. But they’ve gotten kicked out just for proving that it’s necessary. What a typical, backward reaction. (more…)
