I’m going to start something new. At the beginning of each month I am going to give you a link to a charity with this simple challenge. Donate $5 to it. I am a big believer in the idea that if we all did a little bit, we could all make a difference in someone’s life. Sounds pretty reasonable, right?
I plan on choosing smaller charities and fund raising events. The small ones do need to be researched, but I think they often make the most immediate impact, even if only on a small group of people.
So here’s your challenge for March. Project Bread is dedicated to ending hunger in the state of Massachusetts. They are holding a 2010 walk as a fundraiser and each register walker can build a page encouraging other to donate to the cause. The donations go straight through Project Bread and this frees up the walker from having to keep all that organized. So here is the link to Mike Pappagallo’s page. He is a baseball fan and autograph collector, so it’s neat to be helping out a fellow collector, while at the same time be doing something even more important.
So please, pop in and donate $5 if you can, and stay tuned for next month’s.
If you have a suggestion on the April charity let me know.
