“She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body … I know she’s very good, and I’m not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won’t … but Hannah Storm … come on now! Stop! What are you doing? … She’s what I would call a Holden Caulfield fantasy at this point.”
Uhh, that sounds exactly like the Tony Kornheiser that I love watching on Pardon the Interruption. He and Michael Wilbon, make the show great by ragging on people and by going overboard with it. Things aren’t “kinda bad” with them. Things are “terrible! The worst ever!” Players don’t make “mental mistakes”. Players make “boneheaded plays!” It’s their schtick and they’ve got it down. For ESPN to suspend him for turning this schtick on one of their own is to detract from what makes them so enjoyable. Now we have to wonder if he’ll be second-guessing what comes out of his mouth the next time he’s on the air. I want to see Tony in full form, without these worries. Come on ESPN. Lighten up.
