If there’s one type of person I can’t stand (and believe me, there’s more than one) it is family/friends of deceased or incarcerated criminals who can’t see their family member or friend with any objectivity whatsoever. I admit, that may not be fair of me. It’d be a tough situation. But tough situations can be handled well. If your dad flies a plane into a government building, calling him a “hero” is not handling it well. Even if you offer your “deepest condolences” to the victim’s family. That’s just like a slap in the face. “I’m sorry your dad is dead, but my dad is a hero for doing that thing caused your dad to die.”
Joe Stack’s daughter, Samantha Bell, also had this to say “But if nobody comes out and speaks up on behalf of injustice, then nothing will ever be accomplished,” Uhhh hello? Start a blog or something like the rest of us are doing! You want to talk about injustice? Here’s a story about this fellow who survived two tours of duty in Vietnam, only to be killed in Austin, TX when some lunatic piloted a plane into his building. Oh? You’re familiar with that one? I bet you are.
How anyone can equate “speaking up” with flying a plane into a building is beyond me. That’s so 2001 and it wasn’t appreciated much then either. He may be taking on the IRS, and a lot of good Americans may dislike and distrust the IRS. But what we hate more is assholes who fly planes into buildings.
